New Spending Trends Discussed At Agent Meeting At Exit Realty Mountan View Properties

Exit Realty Mountain View Properties held their weekly agent meeting today. One area of discussion was how consumers in America have changed their spending habits.

Since 2007 consumers in the United States have changed their spending habits. Remember the fuel guzzling yachts and vehicles? Our spending habits have changed to adjust to the new economic realty. Consumers are spending more on higher education, bicycles, sewing items, watches, cell phone service, health services, lotteries, alcohol and foreign travel.

We have cut back on spending on pet services, clothing repair, postal/delivery service, dental services, new cars, casino gambling, tobacco, jewelry and pleasure boats. The trend is also heading for buyers looking for the smaller, more efficient home instead of the “McMansions”.
