Fall is here for 2015 and with it brings beautiful colors.  Western North Carolina is such a beautiful peaceful part of the country already and Fall makes it spectacular.  Folks come from all over to view our mountains and color changing trees.  This week our colors are peaking with brilliant golds, yellows, browns, reds, burgundys, and multidimensional green colors.  It is such a delight to drive thru our mountain roads and just take a moment to view all the splendor & blessings that God has given us.  Its free no cost to view.  This past Sunday with Camara in hand, my husband Corky Vetten and I went driving and of course took a lot of photos for our blog readers to view.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Happy Fall Everyone!!!

What a beautiful day it is and we have had such beautiful weather these past few weeks. Waking up to cool, brisk mornings in the mountains of Murphy reminds me of the times I would spend with my grandparents as a child in Virginia. Where they lived was a poor, coal mining community, but it was rich with love. Love of God, Family, and Community.

I remenber one fall morning I woke up to see that grand mama had put an extra quilt on me during the night because grand daddy always left the windows up. He would tell us we would sleep better and the pure fresh mountain air would make us healthier. I miss those days with my grand parents but the memories are mine and I am so fortunate to have grand children to share them with.

Its the simple things in life that have more meaning than all the riches in the world. Memories, good memories, cost nothing. Memories are one of the things free in life and its the little things we do for others that make a difference. Thank you Grand mama for that extra quilt.
